Being one of the islands off the coast of Spain Menorca has always been a popular holiday destination with the British due to it’s close proximity to the UK.
Menorca is the quieter island of the Balearic Islands and an idea destination for a family holiday. The island is a lot quieter and family orientated and less built up compared to the other islands in the area meaning that a cheap family holiday is often easy to find.
Flights to the island are generally well priced and it is often better to book a holiday without going down the package holiday route where many bargains can be found.
Many of the popular cheap Menorca hotels and apartment complexes are available to book on their own and a flight can be arranged with one of the low cost providers and as the island is quite small it is easy enough to arrange a taxi to your resort with the most expensive journey to the resorts furthest away from the airport costing around 50 euro each way.
If on the other hand you wish to hire a car for the holiday they can be hired from as little as 25 euro per day depending on your requirements.
That’s not to say that a package holiday to Menorca should be dismissed. With the current economical climate the travel industry is seeing a decline in the number of UK travellers leaving for abroad and instead opting for a holiday in the UK. With this in mind many are cutting back their prices as far as possible to attract the budget holiday maker.
